   i think it's good, especially for 5th grade
   i've read it twice and i don't get whats the deal with hayley, like why are people so mean to her? maybe it's just cos i'm tired right now. in fact i'm so tired for some reason i broke my heart laughing when one of the teachers said howdy. ha. yeah nd i think you should keep going. like someone a while ago said "Pratice makes perfect!" and remember u should describe so the scene comes alive in the readers head. that sounds strange
   and the thing the did with her bag was a really good idea!

   "Also,it gives us time to think…" Kai said softly while sitting on the bed.

   "Kai, your with the most wanted person at the moment, what is there possibly to think about?" Lily said quickly while picking up an old book out of her messenger bag.

   "Well, once we get out of this house, I'm coming with you." Kai made eye contact.

   "NO! You're not coming! You were already used as bait once, and you were lucky you didn't die. I would never forgive myself if I lost you! Especially for my sake!" She shouted at him.

   "I don't care. I care for you– a lot, and you always said you'd die to save your friends." Kai's brown eyes were gleaming at the lamp at the desk.

   "Kai, that's not like you at all." She shook her head in disbelief.

   "People can change, okay? You still look at me as if I haven't changed since I was ten… If I were the same as when I was ten, I would have never kissed you two years ago. Both of them looked at the other in shock. It was the first time either of them have brought up what happened.

   "That was a mistake! You don't love me!" She stomped her foot looking angrily. Then Kai looked out the window and saw an area of grass, an old tire swing and a body of water behind the house in the woods.

   "You know, I used to play on that swing when I was little.." Lily calmly changed the subject and sat next to Kai on the double bed while looking at the water.

   "I understand why you don't want to go out with me– I was a jerk to you.." Kai blinked, his expression vague.

   "No! That's not why! It's because you're close to me already and you were already used as bait five years ago, it's too dangerous.. Also, if I weren't put in this situation, I would date you.." Lily couldn't believe how maturely Kai was taking this. She wanted to throw her arms around him more then anything now. She wanted to kiss him again. She would have never thought that she and Kai Mathews would confess their love for each other.. She thought it couldn't do much harm to kiss him, just once. She put her arms around his neck and pressed her lips on his and kissed him as they sat on the bed. He put his arms on her waist, and one little innocent kiss didn't seem to end up so innocent.. They now lay on the bed together, she in his arms, she has never before felt so good. Then he began to kiss down her neck, she broke off .

   "I'm sorry.. Like I said before, we can't!" She then went running down the stairs with tears in her eyes still trying to see if the coast was clear.

   Kai looked heart broken and lonely sitting on the bed by himself.

   Hope this helps I cleaned up some spelling and punctuation and changed some grammar and usage around.I read a lot of fiction and have a feel for flow.

    I know at one time everyone seemed to have one. I personally wouldnt be turned off by it, I wouldnt probably even think about it, but if I did I would just think the guy has his stuff together and wasnt a total mess in his life.
