Universal saddlebag
Are throw over saddlebags universal as long as they have the correct dimensions?
Also with a shaft drive, are the saddlebag bars/protectors which keep the bag from getting close to the wheel necessary? Any expirence with this?
Hello, I have had throw over bags before. They are pretty universal as long as they do not interfere with the operation of the rear wheel and your legs. I have used them with out the supports and the most I had from them was paint rubbed off the frame. I made some cheap supports from aluminum rod, measure between the mounting holes make a loop in the rod and bend the rest accordingly. You can also buy them for about 50 bucks.
You should be ok as long as they don't flap, if they do, tie them to the frame.
