Right saddle the right saddle size for my tb gelding?

16hh horse he's a bit thin cause he's previous owner didn't feed him properly.

Is it all right to put a 16" saddle on a 15.2hh horse?
I've been saving up for a saddle lately, and i finally found a nice saddle, but it's only 16". Is that allright to put on a 15.2hh horse. (Its a stock saddle)
The most important thing is how your saddle fits your horse seat size is secondary. Having a saddle that is too small hurts worse than wearing shoes that are too small. It can cause all kinds of misbehaviors in your horse. I didn't know much about buying saddles and it took me 4 saddles before I finally found one that fit my horse. You need to do some research before you get the saddle. You need to find out what size your horse is. As you can see by my avatar I have a very wide horse. Saddles come in different sizes semi-quarter horse bars, quarter horse bars, and full quarter horse bars. They might even make them wider than that I don't know. But I went with full quarter horse bars thinking this would fit my horse but I didn't know about a thing called the gullet. Gullet size is very important too. I ended up having to get a 7 inch gullet. Anyway be so careful how that saddle fits your baby. You know he counts on you to do whats best for him.
in the end of the day in the horse industry, there is always the snob who has never had to work a day in their life for their horse. and thats the truth. but know that despite all the hard work that goes into it, that YOU are the better horsewoman for loving the sport even though it sometimes involves being elbow deep in manure Everytime that girl ticks you off think of this, it works for me

I like it and I have a horse to get one for." in a bored, exasperated tone whenever she says something bratty and rude just lean on one hip and look at her with a tired bored expression like she doesn't bother you at all and be like "alrighty then" and give her a thumbs up and just turn away. She should start leaving you alone after a while:D

Choosing the right saddle for your horse is important. A large selection of saddles as well as saddle fit instructions.
It's worth a try. Personally, I'm not a fan of really thick pads, but if you think it will help your horse's back, go for it.
It's also great that you're having him checked out by a chiropractor. So many people self-diagnose and end up with bigger problems.
