Rear saddle

Knee blocks on a english saddle?
What is the difference in "pencil" knee blocks and "triangular" knee blocks on a jumping saddle? And do rear blocks matter? I've always just ridden in whatever saddle fit the horse so I've never really paid attention to how the blocks fit me. Can someone explain this to me because I am looking to buy a saddle and this is just confusing me.
Knee blocks at the front of the saddle can be small, "pencil" which are often used when you will only jump very small obstacles (or not at all as many breed horses in hunt seat don't really jump!). They are small so as not to interfere with the look of the saddle, but are there in case somebody should pop over a fence or two.
A larger or triangular knee block helps to stabilize your leg more; it keeps your leg from slipping over the front of the saddle when jumping, or when a horse refuses a jump.
A thigh block, which is what the back ones are called, are to keep your leg from slipping too far back when jumping big jumps 4 ft and over.
It comes down to preference. I know the breed shows that are rail classes have judges that prefer certain brands and styles (Pessoa A/O or Stubben are very popular). The eventers and jumpers are more likely to want a bit more knee roll to help them stay in the saddle over athletic jumps, but I've met "real" jumpers who hate knee rolls because they feel they limit their ability to move in the saddle.

How do I stop my horse from rearing?
I just bought a 3yr Thoroughbred colt. He has started to rear when you approach him in his corral, when leading him, standing tied, and under saddle. I have had him physically checked, and my tack checked. How do I stop him from rearing without either of us getting hurt.
When approaching him,do so very slowly and talk very softly. Also try standing in the corral, where you can see him for safety reasons and kind of turn your back to him (but remember to be able to see enough of him that you can escape if you need to) then just kind of slowly move around the corral, and act like you are ignoring him.Maybe make some soft chuffing sounds, move slowly, and he should start approaching you.For some reason they hate to be ignored( or maybe another horse reason), but this usually helps gentle them and gain their trust.
When in saddle you may need to try a tie down on his bridle, but I use this as a last resort.Cause you wouldn't want to do anything too harsh.
Hope this helps you some.Maybe put a treat he really likes in your hip pocket too.

I use search function in site for search Acer but not found information. Can you recommend,What should I do?

Good morning, good morning, good morning……yes, parked my rear in the saddle & yeeha!
Hey Rob, thanks for reaching out and good to meet. I'll go through my thoughts for all of the gear and how it all came together. It's funny how things just fall into place when you don't frantically try to get your life in order. Some of my best gear was just laying around the house or given to me by friends. So starting with clothing…
Clothes
The biking clothing that I picked up, the lightweight zip-up T and long sleeve, can be worn for weeks at a time, they pack super light and are easy to wash in say a stream or sink. My friend who has done long distance biking warned me that I would be insane if I attempted this without a good pair of biking shorts, so I went out and dropped on a good pair. On sale post holidays, the biking wear set-up ran me about $80.
In terms of layering, I found the down vest at a thrift store ($1.50), the waterproof Columbia shell in my closet (free), the windproof Northface jacket was given to me by my good friend Alvin seen in the Polar Bear Plunge Video, and the wool button up, for those formal settings/grump customs workers, I found for pennies on the dollar at a thrift. The only item I dropped some cash on was the icebreaker zip-up layering long-underwear, which a friend of mine swears by and could be a life safer when I want to sleep in something soft and warm. The zip-pants, while not that fashionable, are essential because they will double as shorts, are very easily washable because the leg parts don't really need to be washed and they have tons of zippable pockets.
For the skivvies, I made sure to get the best quality possible, because these items I will be washing the most and they really needed to be quick dry, wicking material and smell-proof. The rational of 2 pairs of boxers is you wear one for the day, wash it at night, switch pairs and repeat.
Some say the feet are the most important part of the body, so I went with the best hiking boots I could find, the Vasque Sundowner made its reputation in the 70's when someone walked around the world wearing them, with only 3 re-solings. I was considering what kind of sandals I could get to wear in showers, while biking, and generally let my feet breath and instead of getting an opened toe sandal, I went with the 5 finger shoes. They can be washed while still on your feet, are very breathable and very well may be my primary shoe in warm weather. Plus, they are really comfortable and are supposed to be good for strengthening your feet and back. I'm excited to break them in.
The smaller the pack you pick up the more your limited in what you bring, which I hear is key. So many people say they get on the road with a bulky pack and just start shedding valuable clothing, so I took the under packed route. The beauty of the Timbuk2 roller is that if I need to buy more clothes for cold weathers, the pack rolls up, expanding for more room. Another reason I went with this pack is because once I buy my bike in Turkey, I will have Panniers and will need to put my backpack on the rear rack of the bike. This small rectagular pack will be a lot easier to strap to the bike than a mountaineering pack and it also rolls up so I'll be able to distribute the gear to the other luggage on the front and rear saddle bags (for even weight distribution).
Gear
A close family friend gave me some incredibly juicy and awe inspiring details about his trek through the hippy trail in the early 70's and his seminal piece of advice was to invest as much as needed for a good sleeping bag, He said when your in the mountains of Nepal freezing your stones off, you will certainly regret not getting the cold proof model. It makes sense, living out of a tent, the sleeping bag is basically your home, so I went with a 0 degree F rated “Down” filled Kealty sleeping bag. This rating of bag usually goes for $300 in the North Face catagory, but I picked this one up from Campmor for $180, just got it today and it packs small and is warm as hello, so glad I dropped for this.
As far as technology, an obvious goal of this trip is to tell a story through my blog and document it through video, writing and pictures. The laptop I use is incredibly small, light, and is surprisingly powerful when it comes to Photoshop and video editing, just requires a little patience. I got a Flip cam for the video element of the site, not too confident with that purchase yet, just met someone that pointed out that the Ipod Nano has equal quality video, is smaller and more discrete, damn! Got a shuffle for the tunes, super light and the camera I got has great photo quality for a mega zoom cam and doesn't look that expensive. I've been in NYC for a week and have already started hand washing my clothes. It's been working pretty fine, still have been partying it up in the hiking gear, and I'm loving my life out of the pack.
Let me know if there was anything I left out that your interested in hearing about. I just got all of my meds shipped to me, which include antibiotics for Travelers Diarrhea and Malaria. Also, let me know if you want the details with the medical side of the trip. To be honest, it seems like an extensive list, but packing and getting my gear together has been a very low concern for me. What seemed to work for me was not going out and buying a bunch of stuff all at once, as you go on your path towards the journey the puzzle pieces will start falling into place and you will ensure you don't spend money on stuff you don't need that will end up on the side of a hookah bar in Morocco because it was weigh you down.
To mountain bike uphill faster, edge forward in the saddle to distribute your weight more evenly between the front and rear wheels
