Rear luggage How can I remove pillion backrest from my Burgman AN400( Model X) scooter?
I don't carry pillion passgrs, but want to carry two large holdalls; it unbalances the bike if too much weight goes on luggage rack at rear; any suggestions pls how to make a neat job all round?
If it's like the AN650, you'll need to remove some of the plastic bodywork from the back of the bike. Look closely and you'll see the seems. Then look underneath and you'll see the little, plastic, screw like fastener thingies. These push out, the tail piece pops off (it may also have a built in "hook" so take your time figuring it out), and the backrest can be unbolted and hidden away. Of course, you'll then need a new tail piece withOUT the mounting holes. At least that's how it works on the 650 Burgman.
Need more detail? Check the Burman USA forums at the link below. On, and also check out Givi--they may have something that is functional and cool.

Ford Mustang Part Question?
Ref 2007 Ford Mustang GT. Are pin-type/pushpin retainers one-time use and is there a trick to removing them? I want to remove the rear luggage compartment trim panel and there are four of them holding it in place.
Please use a panel remover tool. Its is a flat fork like tool that allows the removal of the pins or panel with minimal damage and effort. DO NOT use pliers or screw drivers lol. You can use them but they can cosmetically damage stuff. More often then not you can easily reuse the old ones if you properly removed them, ahem with the panel removal tool. If they are bad www.50resto.com sells replacements in factory colors.
Hey Darin, I just have a rear luggage rack with a Russian passenger seat bolted on it for the rest you should look on ebay.com.. etc. I know there is someone who makes the wiring harness sets, but I have lost the web address.. Thanks, Juuso
One comment I forgot: last car purchased.2003 Subaru Outback Sport. Purchased for $21K, this car has everything I need. I live in the snow and commute 71 miles, one way, each day. That equals 142 miles each day X 4 days = 568 miles per week. The car is AWD and handles phenomenally in the rain and snow. Mileage AVERAGES about 25 mpg; my trip to work is down, my trip home is up. The Subie has a 2.5L engine and the car has every possible option BUT came equipped with many things as standard that many cars do not have, such as power windows, power locks, power mirrors, rear window defrogger, luggage rack, cloth seats, 4 spd auto, remote entry and alarm system, center console and rest, compass and self-dimming rearview mirror, external temp readout on dash, rear decklid cover, rear luggage net, rubber far rear protective bottom tray, all weather deep mats, rear bumper protective rubber top mat, huge and amazingly-effective fog lamps, and an 8 speaker system with single CD player and, my only formal option, the 6-CD changer.Holy Christ. All that for $21K. And, for a cheesy little Impreza, it handles like a slot car with the right tires. On my trip down I-80 from Blue Canyon I can cut the corners with most any WRX or STI — I just can't compete with their turbocharged power.I defy any American car to match those specs and performance in that compact a package for the price. Can't be done. Period.
this looks like an rv from outside
