You answered your own question: "tank is a China brand of motorcycles and scooters". That says it all. Key word is China, or more correctly, Chinese. Give it up. Parts and service are going to be a problem, and their quality control standards are much lower than westerners are used to.
if your engine didn't seize up already, you should be fine, you caught it in time. And no, you weren't running without any oil.
I’ve had this issue happen 3 times. First and second were in early morning hours in direct sunlight for about 5 min. The third was during afternoon with temps about 70-75 degrees. I take extra care when around direct sunlight.I have it setup on my motorcycle tank for GPS during long trips cross country.

It has some potential. It's just that you have lots of grammar mistakes. For example, your first sentence, "I sat in the back seat of my mom’s Mercedes, thinking." That's not really a mistake, but it just doesn't flow well. Maybe saying, "I was in a pensive mood as a I sat in the back (leather) seat of my mom's (blue) mercedes".
