luggage Tail I'm travelling to the States tomorrow and am confused about customs...?
Am I allowed to take perfume or aerosol deodorant (liquids in general) in my carry-on, and am I allowed to take some English biscuits/cookies for a gift, in either my luggage or carry-on? Have looked at a few sites but can't make head nor tail of it all. Thank you so much for any helps )
You can bring all the items you mentioned into the United States if done properly.
The only liquids, gels or creams you can bring in your CARRY ON must be less than 3 ounces (100 ml) and must fit in a one-quart, clear plastic bag. You can bring wine, liquor, perfume and other liquids of any size if they are packed in your checked baggage.
You can bring prepared foods in your carry on or checked baggage. This includes cooked sausage, jerky, cheese, roasted nuts, dried fruit, crackers, cookies, etc. You cannot bring raw meat, fruit or veggies, plants or unroasted nuts.
Also, do not buy flowers at the airport. The recipients of your thoughtfulness will never see them because they will be confiscated by customs.

I hit someones car and.....?
I was backing out of a parking place, it was dark and icy. I only saw a tree and drove away. Later on cops showed up at my door and now I'm being charged with a hit and run. The parking lot I was in is a private drive, so hitting their car is technically property damage. The people have changed their story four times, ranging from only hitting their door, to crushing the whole right side of the car, and now they are saying I injured the driver of the car (who on police reports said he was getting luggage out of the back of the car, and to the insurance company said he was in the driver seat and now has a serious back injury) but, the passenger didn't get hurt at all. My car only has a barley broken tail light. But now they are saying they are going to sue me for their injury's. What's going to happen?
1) Contact your insurance company and ask how they are planning to defend you. If you are satisfied with their response, stop there. 2) Interview attorneys, give them the facts (and be brutally honest), and find one that seems clear on the law and how to fight it. Hire him. Be clear what your objectives are and how he charges: a) just get out of this are take these guys to the bank b) spend as little money as possible getting them off your back c) is he working for a fee or wanting a cut of a return suit. 3) It may help your sanity, and scare them, when you tell them to "cease contacting me, it is causing me duress" and instruct them to send all further correspondence to your attorney. Good luck. I know this is wrenching stuff (been there, done that), but keep a clear head and be clear in your own mind what is the best, honest solution. You may want to ask for neutral arbitration (it's much cheaper than court). That's how I finally got that monkey off my back and it was best for all. Just wish I'd done it a year sooner. (yes this can go on for years...)
