luggage saddle how to ship an english saddle via ups?
what is the best way to ship an english saddle by ups (own box? with bubble wrap?? what).. i am moving and i am taking a plane up there i could do that as part of my luggage if you guys think that would be cheaper.. but what is safer for my saddle?
You CAN ship UPS, but at your own risk- The UPS guys don't value it for what it is, and we've gotten saddles where the box has been dropped/crushed and the saddle is damaged. If you must ship it UPS, add as much padding and protection as possible.
Do you own a horse? (Seeing as you own a saddle, I would think so?) If you do, send the saddle with the horse when you ship it up. That will likely be safer and cheaper than shipping it via UPS or taking it on the plane with you.
