Milk crate strapped to the luggage rack – Do yourself a favor and get the rectangular one for extra beer hauling capacity. This is the properly broke bastards way of shopping. A step up is softbags. Throw them over the pillion seat and off you go. If the budget allows for a topcase/hard saddlebags that is the best option. Tankbags are a help. I can fit 1 paper shopping bag into each of my softbags and 2 in the topcase. If you milkcrate it you can get 3 in there. The milkcrate doesn’t need to be a permanent addition, just take it off when you get home and deny deny deny ; ) Edit: Milkcrate lashing protip – Don’t mess about with bungees. Bungees suck. [Camlock tie down only way to fly … unless you want your food flying down the highway behind you. You can pick up a pack of 4-5 of the things for 10$ at home depot. I have 4 and they lash everything to anything and I have never had one come loose.
