Bracket Trim How high do I mount my 70 Yamaha onto my 1986 15' Boston Whaler from the transom to the bracket on the motor?
And what is the proper pitch size to get maximum speed and efficiency? Motor mounted first time with cavitation plate to bottom of hull-no good. Motor then raised 1 1/2 inches-now it feels like motor is not getting to proper RPM's without trimming motor out of the water. Motor mounted twice by professionals-Now I wan't to do it myself!
Best bet is to speak to boat manufactureres. Remember some years ago my dad had the same problem but manufacturers very helpful. Advised correct height above transom, distance offset (left or right) and prop size.

Pontiac Solstice, do you think is a good deal?
This is the price from a dealer. $26,949.92 plus tax and license. he says the sticker price on this is $28000. I'm gonna buy it tomorrow and I was thinking about getting it down to 26k, what do you guys think?

I disagree with the first response as Pontiacs are as reliable as most. More in some cases.
To your question, I would definitely go for 26K. You have the most leverage now in the negotiation stages than once you sign. Everyone who owns one is quite happy. It is a good mix of economy and performance in a great sporty body. I am considering one myself.
If this dealer is not willing to budge then find another. Online search can help you argue purchase prices as well. For instance I did a quick search and found one here (http://www.cars.com/go/buy-cars/kdc/Pontiac/?CMP=KNC-GoogLead&HBX_PK=buy%20pontiac&HBX_OU=50&domainid=47&detid=1814990/) and there are some at great prices.
The key is how much of a hurry you are to purchase one. Waiting a bit if you can't get the price you want may be best.
