I want to bike around the US for how ever long until I am satisfied. First, I want to get an Associated Degree from college before I do this, so I have some education when I come back. I want to travel the US and maybe find a place work for awhile then go out and about again. What are some good bikes, tents, backpacks, saddle bags, and sleeping bags? I am probably going to get a survival guide to and a first aid kit. I am just gonna roam US. e-mail me if you have done this.
go to a bike shop and then go to a cammping shop. I would suggest not to waste your time, get a car its better and you cover more ground and you can sleep in the back seat.

Looking for ways to make your motorcycle stand out in a crowd? The leather market is full of great items that you can buy either for your bike or for your own outfit which will help to add a lot of style and class to your ride. Here are some great ideas for products that will help you look your best on your next motorcycle trip.
Motorcycles generally are not equipped with accessories such as saddle bags, tool bags, luggage racks, sissy bars, custom foot pegs, or custom headlights unless you buy a used bike from a private seller. In that case, the previous owner may have added extra accessories to the motorcycle already. If not, it's up to you to customize the appearance of your motorcycle which can be somewhat expensive. You may consider starting with the basics which also prove to be the most functional. Items such as saddle bags, windshield bags, and tool bags are great accessories that you can have for your motorcycle because they provide a means of storage for tools, clothing, rain gear, spare parts and equipment, and more. If you've ever been on a long motorcycle trip that required extra parts or the use of tools, you know how important it is to be able to haul those items with you. If you didn't have any extra storage space on your motorcycle, then you wouldn't be able to bring along the items that may prove to be very helpful in the event of a mechanical breakdown.
Another great accessory is leather fringe which can be added to just about any part of the motorcycle to give your motorcycle an added touch of style and class. Fringe for handlebars and clutch covers with fringe are also great items that can be added to your bike for decoration.
There are a ton of different styles of motorcycle jackets that contain different patterns of fringe, braiding, lacing, stainless steel loops and buckles, or antique hardware to give your jacket a little more flare. If you like a jacket that looks a little more traditional in the biker sense, you may consider the basic motorcycle jacket which gives a more classic biker look. If you consider yourself to be a little more sporty, then you may consider a scooter type motorcycle jacket that doesn't contain the extra bells and whistles that a traditional motorcycle jacket contains. The scooter jackets are a little more sleek and have a more sporty look that appeals to those types of motorcycle riders. Other motorcycle apparel items to consider when dressing out your look are motorcycle chaps, motorcycle vests, motorcycle gloves, bandannas, motorcycle overalls, and motorcycle boots. These items all can help enhance the overall look of the your leather motorcycle outfit.
It's hard not to find everything you need when there so many leather options available for dressing out your motorcycle and outfit. The items mentioned above can help enhance your appearance as a motorcyclist and can help keep you looking your best on each and every motorcycle ride you take.

I would like to thank you for the efforts you have made in composing this article. I am going for the same best work from you in the future as well. In fact your fanciful writing abilities has prompted me to start my own blog now. Actually the blogging is spreading its wings rapidly. Your write up is a fine example of it.
Music was canned music from the video editing program…and for most of it I had a minidv cam in a bag under my arm….I would do things differently today….cams are much smaller and there's all kinds of nice mounts…it was about 75-80 miles one way
black again today?and if you say you are putting on one of those little black dresses and heading out bar hopping tonight, i’ll have to get on the motorcycle and head to NC with as much sushi as i can stuff in the saddle bags!
It was a good bike in its day. Personally I -would- worry about the age. 3507 miles in 28 years means that the bike sat unused in a garage for years at a time. Someone put a new battery in it, maybe new tires, tuned it up and started it, and it runs okay. But there are parts in bikes that wear out faster if the bike isn't ridden! Things like rubber grommets that dry out, gaskets deform, carburettors get gummed up from gas evaporating in them, even wiring can get flakey.
It -might- be a great deal, a bike that gives you no trouble. It might also be one thing after another–leaks, electrical problems, etc. etc. It's kind of a gamble. AND parts are hard to find.
Hi Rodney, glad you like the blog. I would not want to judge between the Road King and Heritage, as I love my Road King and have little experience on a Heritage. The main difference I can see is the rear suspension, the Road King being a Tourer with pneumatic “traditionally” placed shock absorbers, and the Heritage is a Softail, with a shock absorbers hidden under the bike. You should test drive both through some potholes, and let your butt tell you his “view”. Both are heavy and have the same engine, both have saddle bags and a removable windscreen.
