This weekend I took them to Sam's with me and they worked perfectly for stowing away all the things I bought and made them so much easier to get into the house. I'm going to make a habit of taking my bags with me each time I shop…especially for groceries.

We make every effort to buy paper and glass instead of plastic. I make my own laundry detergent and keep it inside an old coffee can so I don’t cart home bottles of laundry detergent. We still have plastic sandwich containers, but as their condition deteriorates (since they’re pretty old) we’ve been recycling them and buying glass pyrex instead. It’s a little heavier but I’ve never broken any of them.We have a water filter on our faucet so we never need to buy any bottles.We also have so many different sorts of bags for farmers market shopping and regular grocery shopping (when we do that). We also have all-cotton mesh bags to hold produce when we go shopping instead of having to use the plastic bags supermarkets freely offer.Other tips – use wax paper and aluminum foil to wrap items instead of ziplock bags. There are natural waxed papers that don’t have the synthetic additives like most common ones do.Also, refill plastic soap bottles (dishwashing and hand) from bulk to cut down as well.And yes, as you can tell, I love this stuff!
