bag Free Received a free bag of Purina one cat food, should I feed it to my cats?
It's dry food and I usually feed my cats wellness canned food an other high quality stuff but the shelter I volunteer at was randomly handing out these purina onecat food bags. Should I feed it to them as a treat?
I wouldn't risk it. It can give your cat a tummy ache from the switch. Also, you'd have to gradually change the food amounts, so it's like switching your cat to unhealthier food. Also, vets are trained to believe Purina/Iams/Science Diet/Royal Canin are very good foods, but they're junk. Examples of good foods are Wellness, Felidae, Chicken Soup For The Cat Lover's Soul, Innova, Natural Balance, and BLUE. However, I recommend staying on one brand. Like on the Wellness CORE brand it says to stay with itself and 2/3 a can (I think) of wet Wellness per day. Canned food is important because it gives the cat more water which prevents urinary tract infections and pee crystals. Some Fancy Feast flavors are actually very healthy.

What can I do with a bag of fat free cheddar cheese? Everyone in my family hates the taste and texture?
of this stuff, but my teenager accidentally picked up a bag. Any good suggestions of some way to make fat free cheese palatable?
I'm sure there is someone who has a more creative idea, but I for one would suggest mixing it 50/50 with real cheese in any recipe until it is gone, anything with a bit of spiceiness will help mask the flavor. Of course I'd probably end up tossing it, it really is nasty stuff.
